Managed a 70-node network with five subnets in two cities, including all system administration tasks: select, install, configure, and maintain the appropriate Windows or Linux operating system, application software, and system utilities, for user desktop machines and servers (domain, web (IIS and Apache), database (SQL-Server, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres), mail (sendmail and Scalix), and DNS).

Provided technical support services for a staff of 16 users working in multiple locations.

Developed web-based map applications integrating geospatial data with a wide variety of other data (including databases, document files, photos, and video) using Java, ColdFusion, PHP, MapServer, and Autodesk MapGuide for intranet and internet deployment.

Supervised three other programmers.

Developed map applications using Visual Basic and ESRI's MapObjects Internet Map Server for intranet deployment. Selected, customized, and implemented GIS metadata management software for ARC/INFO in AIX environment.

Responsible for all routine business operations (social services, clerical and accounting, and other program services), including supervision of a staff of ten people. Increased the net proceeds of seasonal fund-raising programs during a period when similar efforts in other cities were experiencing decreases. Also successfully took on increased responsibilities (including all accounting functions) when declining income forced a 50% reduction in staffing levels.

Responsible for all computer activity on my shift, including posting, balancing, and processing all transactions for the bank's six branches each day, preparation and delivery of reports, and helping other computer users with system problems. Instituted procedures which improved the accuracy and speed of routine operations.

A small company (three persons) providing local delivery and courier services to banks and government agencies. Started and developed this business until family responsibilities required my relocation. Liquidated the business.

Responsible for all local customer service and sales activities. Established and maintained high standards of service and performance in this local branch of a major worldwide overnight express delivery company.
